The pre-webinar workshop tasks provide bonus marks (up to 2.5 for each task completed); totalling up to 15 bonus marks (6 x 2.5)
The bonus marks are used to ‘make up’ for lost marks the sum-total of other assessment items (case study assessment and at home exam).
These exercises are optional. The aim is to provide opportunity for you to engage before class in content and to reflect on the concepts and your understanding of them.
Learning is a process by which you add to, and importantly, refine your understanding of ideas. We learn best when we actively and consciously try to form our understanding and then check that understanding through further reading, or even better, discussing with others. It is important to your development of ability to learn to become aware of your own learning process and become very aware of your own level of understanding. Doing this takes conscious effort – this is why these pre-webinar tasks with a reflection are included.

Bonus mark calculation: (Remember, these marks are used only when you’ve lost marks in other assessment items including exam)
Attempts will be marked at the end of T3, after the exam submission, since students are able to self-correct attempts after attending or viewing the live workshop/webinar.
You must include the reflection for both first and second attempt, and first attempt must be submitted by due time to gain bonus marks.
Both first and second attempt submitted, with good evidence of change/learning/correction in second attempt and second attempt is at least 80% correct = 2.5 marks
Both first and second attempt submitted with good evidence of change/learning/correction in second attempt and second attempt is at least 50% correct = 1 mark
